Warranty
All our E-Bikes and E-Scooters come with 12 months warranty on all electronic and mechanical parts (including battery, motor, controller, display, suspension, wheels).
Batteries need to be charged to 100%, used and charged back to 100% at least once a month. If a battery is left dormant, unused or uncharged for months this will result in irreversible damage to the battery and this will constitute improper or insufficient care. Warranty will not cover this under our warranty rules of USAGE EXCLUSIONS.
As part of your warranty conditions Pedl requires at least one general maintenance check to be conducted within the first 6 months or first 500km of ownership, (whichever comes first) by a qualified or recognised technician/mechanic.
FREE FIRST TUNE UP BIKE SERVICE*
We want your new bike/scooter to be working perfectly. Every new bike purchased through the Pedl store comes with a Free First Tune Up Service. This must be done within 100km or the first 6 weeks. If the buyer cannot get their bike/scooter serviced by Pedl we strongly recommend that the buyer visits their nearest qualified mechanic to conduct this check. Any cost related to work/checks not done by Pedl mechanic will not be covered by Pedl.
Failure to provide a service record before 6 months or 500km will void any warranty claims made during the warranty period.
Due to the nature of goods, PedL does not extend warranty past the original buyer. We will not accept warranty claims being transferred from original buyer to another owner and back to the original owner.
Apart from manufacture defects that could be present, parts that wear due to normal use (such as tyres, brake pads, chains, etc) are not included in the warranty but maybe replaced on a case by case basis within the first 3 months.
An outgoing goods inspection is always carried out before the goods are delivered, but we recommend that you inspect the delivered goods after you receive them. Should you notice any damage, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can discuss the next steps with you.
If you notice any packaging and/or transport damage on delivery, we ask you to have this confirmed in writing by the carrier upon delivery and to notify us. We recommend that you keep the damaged packaging as evidence wherever possible.
Water damage is not covered by warranty.
Any attempted repair work undertaken prior or after a warranty claim has been initiated/lodged by an unauthorised or otherwise unqualified repairer will immediately void your warranty.
In the event of an initial fault of the bike/scooter this fault needs to be reported immediately to Pedl. Further or continued usage without assessment that results in the fault transferring to other parts of the vehicle or resulting in excessive damage eg an accident will not be covered by your warranty. Only the initial fault will qualify for a warranty service

WARRANTY PROCESS
If you believe a product is defective and is within its warranty period please fill out the form in this link with all the information requested. https://www.pedl.com.au/pages/warranty-claim
We have preferred service centers in every state for most of the products sold and our process is once warranty has been lodged, we will advise where to take the product for assessment.
In order to make the process easier - if there is a cost associated to the repair , we ask that you settle the invoice then send Pedl the invoice for a reimbursement of cost.
If Pedl cannot locate a preferred repairer locally and the fault has been provisionally diagnosed as a warranty job, a postage label will be provided to pick up your product. The product will be repaired under warranty and shipped back to you at no cost to you.
In the event that the product is assessed and has not been deemed a warranty job then all transport costs associated and labour will be liable to the customer.

- acceptable in appearance and finish
- free from defects
- safe
- durable
Any work outside of the warranty obligations to make the vehicle fit for purpose is liable to the owner.
