Rerode's decision is straightforward once you know what you're optimising for: both models share the same FOC sine-wave motor controller and adjustable, race-inspired suspension on a lightweight aluminium frame, so the R1 10kW and R1+ 17kW are really a question of how much power you want under your right hand. The R1 10kW delivers 390Nm of torque and is pitched by Rerode as class-leading for its category, a strong, capable bike without stepping up to the top tier. The R1+ 17kW is the more powerful option for riders who want the extra output.

What is Rerode?

Currently Rerode offers a two-model Australian electric dirt bike range: the R1 10kW and the R1+ 17kW.

R1 10kW or R1+ 17kW, what's the real difference?

Motor size, 10kW versus 17kW, on the same frame, controller, and suspension platform. Rerode states the R1 10kW's torque (390Nm) directly; the R1+'s torque, range, and battery specs aren't published yet (secret), so if you want the fuller picture before choosing the more powerful option, it would be best to come in to PedL and discuss these numbers first.

Who's it for?
