Both models support up to 200 KG of total payload, but the LR includes a rear rack that’s 18 cm longer than the SR, making it ideal for larger loads or two passengers. The LR also weighs 3.6 kg more. TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
The Abound LR comes pre-configured as a Class II e-bike, offering both pedal assist and throttle functionality. For areas that only permit Class I e-bikes or where throttles are restricted, the throttle can be unplugged and removed, allowing the bike to operate in compliance. Aventon e-bikes are designed to meet the IPX6 water resistance standard, meaning they can withstand high-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes the Abound LR suitable for riding in heavy rain or through puddles and wet conditions. However, IPX6 does not mean the bike is fully waterproof—submerging the bike in water is not recommended. Additionally, do not clean your e-bike with a pressure washer, as the intense water pressure can damage electrical components. Maximum range based on PAS 1, flat terrain, and a rider weighing 72 kg.
