SR vs. LR: Which Model Fits You Best?
Both the Abound SR and LR handle up to 200 kg of total weight. However, the Abound LR offers an 18 cm longer rear rack, making it better for carrying larger items or two passengers — though it’s also 3.6 kg heavier. If you're after a more compact design for tight spaces and easy handling, the SR is the smarter pick. But for extra cargo space, the LR is your go-to.

TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
The Abound SR comes as a Class II e-bike, equipped with both pedal assist and a throttle. If you're riding in areas where throttles aren't allowed, the bike can still function normally with the throttle unplugged and removed. Both the Abound SR e-bike and its battery are UL Certified, meeting UL 2849 standards for the bike and UL 2271 for the battery. Additionally, Aventon e-bikes are built to an IPX6 rating, meaning they are resistant to high-pressure water sprays from any direction. This makes the bike suitable for riding in heavy rain, puddles, and muddy conditions. However, it's important to note that IPX6 does not make the bike waterproof—it's not meant to be fully submerged in water. Also, avoid using pressure washers or high-powered sprayers for cleaning, as they can damage electronic components. Maximum range is based on riding with PAS 1 on flat terrain and a rider weight of 73 kg.

These issues are typically due to the natural settling of components during shipping and are considered a normal part of the assembly process. As such, these adjustments are not covered under Pedl’s warranty.
