PEDL WARRANTY POLICY
1. Manufacturer's Warranty
All Pedl electric bikes and scooters include a default 12-month manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Where the original manufacturer provides a longer warranty period, Pedl will honour that manufacturer's warranty for the applicable component, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms, conditions and assessment process.
This warranty covers the following original factory-installed components where a manufacturing defect exists:
- Battery
- Motor
- Controller
- Display
- Wiring harness
- Charger
- Suspension components
- Wheels and frame (unless excluded below)
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
3. Battery Care Requirements
Lithium batteries require ongoing maintenance.
To maintain warranty eligibility for battery-related claims:
- Charge the battery to 100%.
- Use the battery.
- Recharge it to 100% at least once every month.
Batteries left discharged for extended periods may enter deep discharge (battery dormancy), which causes irreversible damage.
Damage resulting from improper storage, neglect or failure to maintain the battery is not covered under warranty.
4. Required Maintenance
Regular servicing is essential.
Complimentary First Service
Every new bike purchased from Pedl includes one complimentary safety inspection.
This must be completed within:
- 100 km; or

This inspection includes:

- General safety inspection
It does not include replacement of worn components.
Customers unable to attend a Pedl store may use a qualified bicycle mechanic at their own expense.
Ongoing Maintenance
A general maintenance inspection must be completed by a qualified bicycle mechanic within:
- 500 km; or
- 6 months
(whichever occurs first).
Customers should retain proof of servicing.
Failure to properly maintain the product may affect warranty coverage where lack of maintenance contributed to the failure.
